Beginning next Monday, Oct. 21, City crews will be collecting leaves from residential areas. Residents who wish to have their leaves picked up during these collections must rake their leaves to the curb, taking caution to avoid raking them into or on top of gutters and sidewalks wherever possible. Collections will be ongoing through mid-December.
Residents are asked to keep all other collection material at least five feet away from leaf piles, and should not mix brush or other items with leaves as these items may injure City crews, damage equipment or private property, or cause delays. After collection, the leaves will be processed into high-quality leaf mulch that will be available at the Recycling Center in March 2014.
