City of Falls Church, VA Crime Report for September 30 – October 6, 2013

Larceny from Building, 200 block E. Fairfax St. On Sep. 30, police received a report that an unknown suspect(s) stole personal items from a residence sometime between Sep. 20 and 27.

Strong Armed Robbery, 1218 W. Broad St. (Starbucks) On Oct. 3, an unknown suspect grabbed an iPhone from the victim’s hand by force and fled the area. The suspect is described as a black female, approximately 20 years old, 5’5” tall, with a medium build. She was wearing a dark green jacket with something white underneath, jeans, and her hair was worn in a bun.

Public Drunkenness, 6607 Wilson Blvd. (BJ’s Wholesale) On Oct. 4, a male, 51, of Washington, DC, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Larceny from Motor Vehicle, 200 block Tyson Dr. On Oct. 4, an unknown suspect(s) stole a camera and a cell phone from an unlocked vehicle.

Narcotics Violation, 100 block W. Broad St. On Oct. 5, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 27, of Vienna, was arrested for Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana.

Shoplifting, 1230 W. Broad St. (Giant Foods) On Oct. 5, police received a report of wine bottles stolen from the store on Oct. 4. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 30-40 years old, 5’10” tall, weighing 150-160 pounds, and a thin build with short brown hair. He was wearing a blue long sleeve button-up shirt with a white t-shirt underneath, khaki cargo shorts, white socks, and tan tennis shoes.

Noise Violation, 500 block Timber Ln. On Oct. 5, a male, 36, of the City of Falls Church, was arrested and released on summons for a Noise Violation.

Smoking In a Non-Designated Area, 6757 Wilson Blvd. #17 (Hoa Vien) On Oct. 5, a male, 42, of Fairfax, was arrested and released on summons for Permitting Smoking In a Non-Designated Area.

Urinating In Public, 6757 Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On Oct. 5, a male, 50, of Fairfax, was arrested and released on summons for Urinating In Public.

Driving Under the Influence and Narcotics Violation, Unit block Hillwood Ave. On Oct. 6, an officer responded to the area for a report of an unresponsive driver. The driver, a female, 21, of Falls Church, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Possession of Marijuana.

Driving Under the Influence, 200 block Hillwood Ave. On Oct. 6, an officer responded to the area for a report of a motor vehicle accident. One of the drivers, a male, 48, of Falls Church, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Other Arrests

Failure to Appear, On Oct. 2, a male, 31, of Herndon, was arrested for Failure to Appear in Falls Church General District Court to answer to a Driving with a Suspended License charge.

Failure to Appear, On Oct. 2, a male, 53, of Reston, was arrested in Fairfax City for Failure to Appear in Falls Church General District Court to answer to an Assault and Battery charge.
