City of Falls Church, VA Crime Report for October 7 – 13, 2013

Graffiti, 300 block Timber Ln. On Oct. 7, graffiti were found on a resident’s fence.

Larceny from Motor Vehicle, 500 block S. Spring St. On Oct. 7, contents from a purse were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the area.

Drinking In Public, 100 block S. Maple Ave. On Oct. 8, a male, 32, of Arlington, was arrested and released on summons for Drinking In Public.

Child Neglect, 6607 Wilson Blvd. (BJ’s Wholesale) On Oct. 8, police responded to the area for a report of two children unattended in a vehicle. A female, 39, of Annandale, was arrested and released on summons for two counts of Child Neglect.

Possession of False ID, Providing False ID to Avoid Arrest, and Urinating In Public, 306 Hillwood Ave. (Lesly’s Restaurant) On Oct. 10, an officer observed an individual urinate in public. The individual made false claims of his identity and provided a fictitious identification card. A male, 29, of Herndon, was arrested for Possession of False ID, Providing False ID to Avoid Arrest, and Urinating In Public.

Liquor Law Violation and Smoking In a Non-Designated Area, 6795 Wilson Blvd. #21 (Hai Lua) On Oct. 10, a male, 28, of Springfield, was arrested and released on summons for Permitting Smoking In a Non-Designated Area and Drinking while On-Duty as an ABC Manager.

Shoplifting, 1212 W. Broad St. (Virginia ABC Store) On Oct. 11, police received a report of liquor stolen on Oct. 8. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 29 years of age, with black hair in dread locks, medium to heavy build, wearing a blue striped short sleeve shirt and blue jeans.

Larceny from Building, 1230 W. Broad St. (Giant Foods) On Oct. 11, an unknown suspect(s) stole an unattended wallet from a carriage.

Smoking In a Non-Designated Area, 6795 Wilson Blvd. #2 (Café Hoang) On Oct. 12, a male, 36, of Falls Church, was arrested and released on summons for Permitting Smoking In a Non-Designated Area.

Larceny from Building, 140 S. Maple Ave. (Bowl America) On Oct. 12, an unknown suspect(s) stole an unattended bag.

Other Arrests 

Failure to Appear, On Oct. 8, a male, 28, of Washington, DC, was for Failure to Appear in Falls Church General District Court to answer to a Failure to Return a Bailed Vehicle charge.

Failure to Appear, On Oct. 10, a male, 32, of Sterling, was arrested for Failure to Appear in Falls Church General District Court to answer to a Driving without a Valid License charge.

Failure to Appear, On Oct. 10, a male, 20, of McLean, was arrested for Failure to Appear in Falls Church General District Court to answer to a Driving with a Suspended License charge.

Domestic Assault, Assault By Strangulation, and Impeding an Emergency Call, On Oct. 11, a male, 23, of the City of Falls Church, was arrested for Domestic Assault, Assault By Strangulation, and Impeding an Emergency charges stemming from a Sept. 22 investigation.
