Mad Fox Expanding into D.C.

The popular City of Falls Church restaurant Mad Fox Brewing Company is expanding into Washington, D.C. The brewpub announced today its plans to open a 127-seat, 4,590 square foot location, called Mad Fox Taproom, in the Glover Park neighborhood of the District.

“Glover Park is a wonderful neighborhood that deserves a great beer bar like the Mad Fox Taproom,” Mad Fox CEO and executive brewer Bill Madden said in a press release. He said the area “offers an ideal fit for our concept and shares similarities with Falls Church in its demographics and overall environment.  And just like in Falls Church, we look forward to becoming an active and positive member of the community, contributing to both the economy and the culinary options of the area.”

Mad Fox Brewing Company opened in F.C.’s The Spectrum on West Broad Street in 2010 and celebrated its third anniversary this past July.

The new D.C. location is expected to open by the end of the first quarter of 2014, depending on renovations and permitting the press release said.
