F.C.’s Eugenia M. Thatcher Dies

thatcherobitphotoWEBEugenia M. Thatcher, a longtime resident of Falls Church, passed away Saturday, July 27. She was 83.

Thatcher is survived by her four sons Michael (Sue) of Bound Brook, NJ, John (Cathy) of Falls Church, Brian (Laura) of Camp Hill, Penn., and David (Thora) of Fairfax. She is also survived by her brothers, George “Com” (Ottie) Marsters of Auburn,Wash., Donald (Nancy) Marsters of Clifton, sister Susan Whichard of Grass Valley, Calif., 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren, one having predeceased her.

The family will receive visitors at Murphy Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Blvd. in Arlington on August 9 from 6 – 9 p.m.

A memorial service will be held at Murphy Funeral Home on August 10 at 1 p.m. with interment immediately following at National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Highway in Falls Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Capital Caring Hospice, 2900 Telestar Court, Falls Church, Va. 22042.
