F.C. ADU Lottery Deadline is Friday, Aug. 9

The City of Falls Church Housing and Human Services is accepting lottery applications for seven, two-bedroom apartments at the new Northgate Apartments (450 N. Washington St.) under the Affordable Dwelling Unit (ADU) Rental Program. The deadline to submit an application is noon on Friday, August 9.

The lottery will take place Tuesday, August 27, at 7:30 p.m. in the Dogwood Room of City Hall (G Level, 300 Park Ave.). The units will be available in 2013. If the lease starts in 2013, the rent will be $1,290 plus utilities.

To qualify, applicants must fulfill all of the following:

1. All applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent legal residents.

2. Total household liquid assets can not exceed $40,000,

3. All applicants must have a minimum credit score of 620,

4. Total household income must be between 50 to 80 percent of the Area Medium Income (AMI), i.e. a 2 person household $42,920 to $68,672, a three-person household: $48,285 to $77,256, a four-person household: $53.650 to $85,840. Priority will be given to current City residents and employees.

Applications will be accepted until noon on August 9, 2013 and are available via the City’s website, or at the City’s Housing and Human Services office, 300 Park Ave., G Level.
