Ovvio Osteria has officially announced it will open in Merrifield next Tuesday, August 6. Ovvio, which means “obvious” in Italian, is a classic Italian osteria, a communal place offering wine and simple food. Chef/Partner Chris Watson will showcase seasonal ingredients in a range of menu items including antipasti, insalata, pastas, entrees, and pizza. The restaurant seats 130 and includes two large communal tables adjacent to the bar and a 36 seat patio. Dinner service hours of operation are: Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday 4 – 10 p.m., Thursday, Friday and Saturday 4 p.m. – midnight. Lunch and brunch service hours will be announced shortly.
