Otters Fall in Final Season Meet to Tuckahoe

The Otter Divers lost their final meet of the season Tuesday against Tuckahoe with another close score, 35 – 32, bringing their win-loss record for the season to 1 and 4.

The Otters had a very strong showing, with several of their divers qualifying to dive up in the next higher age group. Four Otter Divers took first place in their respective categories: Mackenzie Brennan in Junior Girls with a score of 120.25, Julia Powell in Intermediate Girls with a score of 131.15, Brad Burgeson in Intermediate Boys with a score of 132.70, and Gil Osofsky in Senior Boys with a score of 124.65.

The Otters swept the top three places in Junior Girls, with Kenna Campfield placing second and Kyla Straker placing third. Other divers who placed were: Claire Newberry (Freshman Girls, second), Blaise Wuest (Freshman Boys, third), Finn MacStravic (Junior Boys, third), and Saachi Khurana (Intermediate Girls, second).

The Divisional Dive Meet for Division 4 will be held on Sunday at the Oakton Swim and Racquet Club. The Otters are sending 16 divers to that meet: Blaise Wuest, Haley Liddell, Lexi Pierce, Claire Newberry, Mackenzie Brennan, Kenna Campfield, Kyla Straker, Lindsey Liddell, Saachi Khurana, Liam Klopfenstein, Brad Burgeson, James Crowley, Elana Colbert, Julia Powell, AJ Colbert, and Everi Osofsky.
