Mason Student to Study Biomedicine at UPenn

Rising George Mason High School sophomore Cristion Brown is studying biomedicine this summer at the University of Pennsylvania’s Biomedical Research Academy for high school students. Brown is one of a handful of students chosen for the four-week program. During the program, students participate in a variety of biology experiments focusing on cellular and molecular biology, genetics, and disease prevention. In prior years, Brown participated in engineering programs for middle and high school students at North Carolina State University, Duke University, and most recently at the University of Virginia.
