Books for America Expands Collection Sites to NoVA

Books for America has formed a new partnership with Federal Realty Investment Trust that will expand the non-profit’s collection sites into Northern Virginia.

Books for America, since its founding in 2002, has collected and distributed more than $5 million worth of gently used books and other forms of media in the Washington, D.C. metro area in support of its mission to promote literacy to organizations serving economically, socially, or physically disadvantaged communities and individuals.

Thirteen new locations are now operational at Federal Realty shopping centers: Barcroft Plaza, Mount Vernon Plaza, Chesterbrook, Idylwood Plaza, Falls Plaza, Pike 7 Plaza, Leesburg Plaza, Tower Shopping Center, Tyson’s Station, Pan Am Shopping Center, Loehmann’s Plaza, and Old Keene Mill Shopping Center.
