Oakton Otters Lose Season Opener to Wakefield Chapel, 37-35

The Oakton Otters lost to Wakefield Chapel Tuesday evening in this extremely close Division 4 dive meet with a score of 37-35. This was the first meet of the season for the Otters.

Three Otter divers took first place: Mackenzie Brennan in Junior Girls with a score of 108.30, Elana Colbert in Intermediate Girls with a score of 142.20, and AJ Colbert (Elana’s sister) in Senior Girls with a score of 173.00.

The Otters swept the top three places for Junior Girls (Kenna Campfield, 2nd and Kyla Straker, 3rd).

Other Otter divers that placed were: Gillian MacStravic (Freshman Girls, 2nd), Haley Liddell (Freshman Girls, 3rd), Blaise Wuest (Freshman Boys, 3rd), Julia Powell (Intermediate Girls, 2nd), Brad Burgeson (Intermediate Boys, 2nd), James Crowley (Intermediate Boys, 3rd), Everi Osofsky (Senior Girls, 3rd) and Liam Klopfenstein (Senior Boys, 2nd).

The Otters host their first home meet of the season next Tuesday against Highlands Swim.
