For three hours this weekend, 10 of the D.C. area’s top chefs are coming together for one epic event. On Sunday, Poste Moderne Brasserie in Penn Quarter is hosting an afternoon full of burgers, beer and whole hell of a lot more at the first-ever Brainfood Burger Battle.
Poste head chef Dennis Marron and Granville Moore’s Teddy Folkman are co-hosting and competing along with Scott Drewno, Haidar Karoum, Kyle Bailey, Anthony Chittum, Danny Bortnick, Marjorie Meek-Bradley, Taco Bamba’s Victor Albisu and Mad Fox’s Andrew Dixon in a no rules, no limit contest to see who can cook up the best burger.
Entry ($75) gets all-you-can-eat burger goodness along with all-you-can-drink boozers from Mad Fox Brewing Company, 3 Stars Brewing Company, Port City, Brewery Ommegang and more. Best of all, 100% of the proceeds go towards Brainfood, a D.C.-based nonprofit that uses food and cooking to teach life skills and healthy living to teenagers.
