City of Falls Church, VA Crime Report for May 27 – June 2, 2013

Public Drunkenness, 312 Hillwood Ave. (Larry Graves Park) On May 27, a male 34, of Sterling, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.
Urinating In Public, 6757 Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On May 27, a male, 25, of Silver Spring, MD, was arrested and released on a summons for Urinating In Public.
Larceny from Building and Larceny from Motor Vehicle, 1000 E. Broad St. (24 Hour Fitness) On May 27, an unknown suspect(s) stole car keys from an unlocked locker and then used the keys to gain access to the victim’s vehicle to steal the victim’s wallet.
Possession of a Fictitious ID, 300 block Hillwood Ave. On May 27, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation and the driver presented a fictitious ID card. The driver, a male, 32, of Falls Church, was arrested and released on summons for possession of a Fictitious ID.
Shoplifting, 1150 W. Broad St. (CVS Pharmacy) and 1230 W. Broad St. (Giant Foods) On May 28, police responded to the location for a report of shoplifting. Officers were able to locate the suspect and recover stolen merchandise. A female, 34, of Washington, DC, was arrested for two counts of Shoplifting.
Panhandling, 1000 block E. Broad St. On May 28, a female, 48, of Alexandria, was arrested and released on summons for Panhandling.
Larceny from Building, 1120 W. Broad St. (Road Runner Sports) On May 29, an unknown suspect(s) stole an iPod sometime during business hours.
Robbery, 422 S. Maple Ave. (Cavalier Trail Park) On May 29, the victim, was approached by two Hispanic males demanding the victim’s cell phone and wallet. The victim was thrown to the ground and assaulted; the suspects made off with money from his pocket. The first suspect is described as around 20 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with the Adidas logo on the front, dark jeans and shoes, with his face covered with a bandana. The second suspect is described as being in his mid-20s, 5 feet 4 inches tall, and stocky. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans and shoes, and his face was partially obscured by his hood.
Graffiti, 422 S. Maple Ave. (Cavalier Trail Park) On May 31, graffiti were found on utility boxes.
Drinking in Public, 935 W. Broad St. (Taco Bell) On May 31, a female, 65, of Falls Church, was arrested and released on summons for Drinking in Public.
Driving Under the Influence, 100 block E. Columbia St. On June 1, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, Andrew B. Gonzalo, 48, of Washington, DC, was arrested for Driving Under the influence.
Public Drunkenness, 6621 Wilson Blvd. (New Moon) On June 1, a male, 47, of Falls Church, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.
Driving Under the Influence, 100 block W. Westmoreland Dr. On June 1, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 22, of Vienna, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.
Public Drunkenness, 6700 block Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On June 2, a male, 43, of Washington, DC was arrested for Public Drunkenness.
Shoplifting, 1003 W. Broad St. (RiteAid) On June 2, two suspects entered the store and left stealing merchandise. One suspect is described as a Black female, approximately 30-35 years old, 150-160 pounds, 5’8” tall, black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a black dress and sunglasses. The second suspect is described as a Black female, approximately 20-25 years old, 5’5”-5’6” tall, black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a pink tank top with pajama pants

Court Order Violation, On May 29, a male, 18, of the City of Falls Church was arrested for a Court Order Violation stemming from Possession of Marijuana Charges.
Embezzlement, On May 29, a male, 27, of McLean, surrendered himself to police for being wanted for Embezzlement from Capital One Bank on 1100 W. Broad St. The embezzlement occurred in March 2013.
