Kearney Announces Bid for New 2-Year F.C. School Board Term

Current Falls Church School Board Chair Susan Kearney, who spearheaded the effort to obtain an extraordinary 14.2 percent increase in the City’s budget transfer to meet record enrollment growth in the F.C. schools this spring, announced today her intention to run for a two-year term in November’s election, seeking to complete the unexpired term of former board member Joan Wodiska. Kearney becomes the first candidate to formally announce in advance of the June 11 filing deadline for F.C. School Board and City Council candidates.
