F.C. Police to Offer Drug Take-Back & More in Saturday Event

The Falls Church Police Department will be on hand at the Falls Church Volunteer-Arlington Fire Department, 6950 Little Falls Road, Arlington, to provide a number of services for area residents this Saturday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

In conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Agency, the FCPD will be offering the public an opportunity rid their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. The service is free and anonymous.

City residents are encouraged to drop by the event and register their bicycles free of charge. Registered bicycles will receive a City decal and entered into a database by the FCPD. In the event of theft, the police department will use the registration information to contact the owners of a recovered bicycle.

The FCPD will also be hosting a free VIN etching sponsored by the Virginia H.E.A.T (Help Eliminate Auto Theft) program. H.E.A.T. educates citizens and provides services to prevent theft of vehicles and their parts, a crime that costs Virginians millions of dollars each year.
