A Pitch to Honor

308pitch

The Falls Church High School varsity baseball team honored those lost in the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School during the team’s game on Tuesday. Kirsten Wiley, cousin of shooting victim Lauren Rousseau, threw out the first pitch of the game. The away team, rival J.E.B. Stuart High School, joined Falls Church High in the remembrance. Spectators were offered purple ribbons to honor the shooting victims, and all took part in a moment of silence. The Falls Church High baseball program is supporting the 26acts campaign and asks that people join them in performing 26 acts of kindness in their communities to honor the 20 children and six school employees who died at Sandy Hook.
