Neuropsychologist William Stixrud, Ph.D., was the keynote speaker at the countywide “Strive Today for a Healthier Way” Prevention Conference for middle school students and parents held last Saturday at Falls Church High School. Stixrud discussed the mysteries of the teen brain. Youth attended a variety of workshops – like Zumba, martial arts, music, and exercise – all designed to help students find healthy alternatives to stress, alcohol, and drugs.
