Operation Earth Watch received a sponsorship check recently from the Falls Church Rotary Club. Pictured above, City of Falls Church Solid Waste Programs Coordinator Allison Lohrenz (left) accepts $150 from Rotary Club Vice President Diane Hill on behalf at the Falls Church Rotary Club. About 200 elementary school students participate in monthly Operation Earth Watch activities promoting environmental awareness through recycling, waste reduction, energy and water conservation, and nature care. For their efforts during the school year, the students are rewarded at a ceremony, and they march together in the Falls Church Memorial Day Parade. (Photo: John Karickhoff)
