F.C. City Library Foundation Seeks End-of-Year Donations

As the year comes to a close, the Mary Riley Styles Public Library Foundation Trust asks the City of Falls Church community to consider a tax-deductible donation to support the award-winning library. Donations help supplement the funding received from the City government. In recent years, contributors have funded the wireless networking capability at the library; purchased additional books, books-on-disc, eBooks, DVDs for the collection; paid for the prizes given to young adults who won the library sponsored poetry contest; funded a new self-checkout station; and helped start the new downloadable Freegal collection that allows patrons three free downloadable songs a week which they then own.

Donations may be directed to immediate needs or to the endowment that has been established by the foundation to provide a future guaranteed stream of income for the library.

Those interested can mail contributions to MRSPL Foundation Trust Treasurer, 800 West Broad Street, Ste. 321, Falls Church, VA 22046. Checks should be made out to the MRSPL Foundation Trust.

All contributions are acknowledged by letter which serves as a receipt. For more information, call 703-248-5030 or visit fallschurchva.gov/Library.
