Jody’s Jam of the Week: 16th Annual Winter Soulstice Benefit Concert & Toy Drive

Snowflake1212The show formerly known as Santa Jam returns to the State Theater next Thursday for a night full of blues tunes and good will. Now known as Winter SOULstice, the 16th annual benefit concert and toy drive will feature music from Mark Wenner of the Nighhawks, Linwood Taylor, Cathy Ponton King, Soul Gravity and School of Rock. Toy donations will be accepted at the show and will benefit the Children’s National Medical Center in downtown D.C. Acceptable donations include unwrapped new toys, stuffed animals, blankets or clothes. Tickets are $10.

When: Thursday, December 20, doors at 7 p.m., showtime at 8 p.m.

Where: The State Theatre, 220 N. Washington Street, Falls Church
