F.C. High Tri-Athlete Awarded Triple Impact Scholarship

simsFalls Church High Schooler Marisa Sims – a tri-athlete who competes in field hockey, swim and dive, and soccer – was one of just a handful of athletes selected this year from the Virginia, D.C., and Maryland region to earn a Triple-Impact $2,000 scholarship.

Each year, the Positive Coaching Alliance seeks students that exemplify the spirit of sport and perform in a way that supports not only themselves, but those around them, with admirable character and sportsmanship. Awards are based on essays by students explaining how they represent the ideals of the Triple-Impact Competitor: makes oneself better, makes teammates better, and makes the sport better.

Sims has successfully maintained a GPA of over a 3.5 every quarter, every year. On the field, she has been an All-District award recipient in field hockey and soccer and an All-Region qualifier in swim and dive.
