Mason Team to Take on 5K Challenge for Best Buddies

George Mason High School’s chapter of Best Buddies will be participating in the Audi Best Buddies Challenge Saturday on the National Mall.

Best Buddies is an organization that works to create opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Mason’s team will participate in the Carl Lewis 5K Challenge, a 5K race that starts and finishes at the foot of the Washington Monument, and begins at 8:30 a.m.
