Well, if the Nats don’t pull it out Thursday, this might be a good weekend to get outta town and forget D.C. baseball for awhile.

Lucky for you, I know just the destination. This Friday, you can drown your horsehide sorrows in a plethora of burgers and beer at the Blue Moon Burger Bash on Pier 39 in NYC. The annual bonanza of beefy delight is just one of the many events during the Food Network’s four-day long New York Wine & Food Festival. Thirty-one burger slingers are hooking up the grub, while copius amounts of Blue Moon beer will be on tap to wash it all down. The Bash runs from 7 – 10 p.m. at Basketball City. Don’t forget to wear your stretchy pants.
