Jody’s Jam of the Week: Angelika After Hours

OK, this is pretty cool. All through October, the brand spanking new Angelika Theater in Merrifield will be cueing up retro classics on the screen every Friday and Saturday night. The lineup for Angelika After Hours include “The Room” (Oct. 5 & 6) dubbed the “Citizen Kane of bad movies,” Mel Brooks’ classic “Spaceballs” (Oct. 12 & 13), David Bowie, complete with codpiece, in “Labyrinth” (Oct. 19 & 20) and Sam Raimi’s camp horror classic “Army of Darkness” (Oct. 26 & 27). The flicks kick off at 11:45 p.m. each Friday and Saturday night in October and tickets will be $7.
