O’Connell Grad Receives F.C. Rotary Scholarship

Bishop O’Connell High School Class of 2012 graduate Bernadette Jarvis was awarded a $1,000 college scholarship by the Falls Church Rotary Club.

Jarvis participated in a competitive application process earlier in the year that included an essay describing how higher education would help her achieve her life goals. At O’Connell, she was active in Student Council, the annual soup drive and Superdance, and the Interact Club.

Jarvis is now a Capstone Scholar in the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina, where she is majoring in international business, and planning to minor in French.
