F.C. Resident Accused of Running Illegal Cantina from Home

Marisol Alarcon Montera, 40, of Falls Church, has been accused by the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) of illegally selling alcohol and food.

ABC agents served a search warrant Friday night at Montera’s home in the 6400 block of Maplewood Drive, Falls Church. Montera was suspected of running an illegal cantina after undercover ABC agents bought food and alcohol at the home, according to an ABC news release.

According to the news release, agents found more than $600 in cash and more than five cases of beer, and the living room of the home contained two dining tables.

Montera may face two counts of selling alcoholic beverages without a license, a Class 1 misdemeanor that could result in up to a year of jail time or a fine of up to $2,500, or both.
