Shields Calls Special Meeting of F.C. Council Friday on Water Litigation

Falls Church City Manager Wyatt Shields issued a letter to members of the F.C. City Council today calling a special City Council meeting to take place Friday, Aug. 3, at 7 a.m. at City Hall, to be a closed session to discuss water litigation. In an agenda provided for the meeting, Shields cited the code permitting closed meetings for purposes of “consultation with legal counsel and briefings by staff members or consultants pertaining to actual or probable litigation, where such consultation or briefing in open meeting would adversely affect the negotiating or litigating posture of the the public body.”
