Kaine, Warner in Joint Arlington Appearance

Two former Virginia governors, Mark Warner and Tim Kaine, joined forces in Arlington Wednesday to meet with representatives of dozens of Northern Virginia companies to discuss how to increase access capital for small businesses. The event was held at Opower, a downtown Arlington-based company that works with utility companies to assist millions of customers to reduce energy use, saving consumers more than $50 million a year.

As governor, Kaine started a system of “One Stop” portals that helped thousands of small businesses get started. The Democrat is currently running for the U.S. Senate, hoping to join current U.S. Senator Warner there.
