F.C. EDA to Host Smart Growth & New Urbanism Forum

The public is invited to a forum on smart growth and new urbanism at the City of Falls Church Economic Development Authority’s meeting April 10 at 7 p.m. in the Dogwood Room of City Hall (300 Park Ave., G Level).

Two nationally recognized experts will lead the discussion: David Kitchens of the design and architecture firm Cooper Carry and Peter Katz, author, consultant, and leading proponent of new urbanism. The speakers will explain the concepts behind the popular contemporary planning movements and provide examples of successful smart growth projects in the region and around the nation.
