Rock Spring Garden Club to Select Garden of the Year

Rock Spring Garden Club of Arlington County will hold its 2012 Garden of the Year competition this spring.

One Arlington residential garden will be selected as Garden of the Year. Gardens can be nominated by a homeowner, neighbor, friend or relative.

A maximum of 25 gardens will be judged. Gardens must be at least 50 percent designed and maintained by the homeowner. Entries will be judged by nationally accredited members of the Landscape Design Council of the National Capital Area Garden Clubs. There is no entry fee.

Applications are now available at rockspringgardenclub.com. The application deadline is May 1. Judging will take place in May.

The Garden of the Year winner will be announced at the June 14 RSGC meeting.
