Castillo Announces Candidacy For F.C. School Board

Justin Castillo photoThe chair of the Falls Church City Schools’ Gifted and Talented Advisory Committee announced yesterday that he will run for the F.C. School Board in the election May 1. Justin Castillo, a communications attorney in D.C., has served on the advisory committee since 2006 and has been its chair the last three years.

He’s also served on the F.C. Board of Zoning Appeals and Citizens Advisory Committee on Transportation. Since 2010 he has served as a parent representative on the board of directors of the Virginia Association for the Gifted.

A graduate of Yale and the Georgetown University Law Center, he is an adjunct professor of law at Georgetown. He and his wife Ruth moved to Falls Church in 1994 and their four children attend City schools.
