Lady Mustangs Win Spot in Region B Final

George Mason High School’s girls basketball team advanced to the Region B final with a 54-46 victory over Central High School tonight.

George Mason sprinted out of the gate with a 16-6 first quarter and finished the first half with a 36-19 lead. The Lady Falcons outscored George Mason 15-5 in the third quarter and narrowed a 17-point deficit to seven points by the end of the period. The Lady Mustangs maintained composure and at least a seven point lead for the remainder of the game.

George Mason plays Stuarts Draft High School in the Region B championship tomorrow night at Eastern Mennonite University at 8 p.m.
