Mustangs Drop Randolph-Henry in Region B Quarterfinal

George Mason High School’s boys varsity basketball team beat Randolph-Henry High School 56-44 in the quarterfinal round of the Region B tournament tonight.

The Mustangs extended a 17-12 first quarter lead to 27-19 by the end of the first half. The Statesmen came back briefly in the third quarter with a 13-2 run, but the Mustangs staved them off with a 12-0 run to close out the quarter ahead 51-35. George Mason stayed ahead by 10 or more for most of the fourth quarter.

The Mustangs play Stuarts Draft High School in the semifinals Thursday at Strasburg High School.
