Valentine’s Day falls on a Tuesday this year, but the weekday shouldn’t deter you from celebrating this special holiday with a loved one. 2941 is cooking up specials for those looking to go out on Valentine’s Night. At a fixed price of $75, hungry individuals can choose from a special three-course Valentine’s menu with five choices for an appetizer like grilled octopus salad with fingerling potatoes topped with pimentón de la Vera, or mushroom ravioli with chive blooson, shiitake broth and rapini. Dinner includes a choice of four different main courses ranging from Veal Tenderloin Rossini with truffle sauce to the Winter Harmony dish of wild mushroom tart with eggplant provençal. Argia’s is serving a Valentine’s Day weekend special Friday through Tuesday. Their three-course prix-fix dinner at $39.99 comes with the option of wine pairings for a total of $59.99. The “Primi Piatti” portion of the meal allows for a choice of tuna tartar or roasted red pepper soup. Main dishes include lobster, asparagus and Mascarpone ravioli; seared sea scallops; black truffle and house-cured duck confit risotto; or braised pork shank served under creamy Parmesan polenta. For $28, guests can enjoy a three-course Valentine’s Day dinner. Appetizers will include a crab and tomato bisque or Caesar salad. Guests may then choose from three choices for an entrée – a surf and turf of filet mignon and grilled jumbo shrimp with a burgundy wine reduction, potatoes au gratin and grilled asparagus; fresh rock fish with roasted baby potatoes, fresh spinach and a parsnip puree; or stuffed, breaded chicken breast with mushroom masala sauce and fresh asparagus with potatoes au gratin. In addition to its regular menu of Italian favorites, Pistone’s will be serving a special four-course Valentine’s menu from Friday to Tuesday for $49.
