Darien and Betsy Bates welcomed their first child, Alban Lee Bates, into the world on Jan. 31, the couple reports from their home in New York City.
Darien was a writer for the News-Press in the mid-2000s, and now runs his own marketing firm in NYC, “Discovering Oz.”
