Jody’s Jam of the Week: 2nd Annual Mad Fox Barleywine Festival

Got plans Saturday? If not, clear your schedule and make a beeline for Mad Fox for their Barleywine Festival. Kicking off at 11 a.m., the second annual beer fest will feature Mad Fox’s own barleywine as well as those from their favorite breweries.

They’ve already got 28! varieties on hand and have another eight on order. The barleywines will be rotated throughout the day on both draught and cask and will be served up in four-ounce glasses while they last. In addition to the special brews, Mad Fox is hooking up festival food specials as well including Carolina-style pulled pork sandwiches, weinerschnitzel, bangers and mash, Irish stew and country fried steak fingers with black pepper cream gravy. If you plan on making this a day-long event, I recommend eating all of the above to ensure you’re still standing at the end of the night.
