Falls Church City Resident Ben Lasso ended his 2011 golf season with a bang by finishing eight under par (68, 68) for the final two rounds of the Dixie Amateur held in Coral Springs, Florida, at Heron Bay, former site of the PGA Tour Honda Classic.
His performance put him in a tie for seventh place in the golf tournament.
Over 250 golfers competed in the holiday event; 70 plus ties made the cut after the first two rounds.
Lasso stood at four over after two rounds.
Lasso progressed each round and in his final two rounds had 10 birdies and only two bogeys.
