Arlington Philharmonic to Play Free Fall Concert

The Arlington Philharmonic’s free fall 2011 concert will be held on Nov. 6 at 3 p.m. in the Washington-Lee Auditorium.

Music Director A. Scott Wood will lead the Philharmonic in selections from Gustav Holst’s “Brook Green Suite,” Aaron Copland’s “Appalachian Spring” and other American and British gems.

The Philharmonic’s strings are joined by woodwinds and piano, and several solo turns round out this performance.

Admission is free, and donations will be accepted. Seating for this concert is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The Washington-Lee Auditorium is located at 1301 N. Stafford St., Arlington.

This concert is supported in part by Arlington County through the Cultural Affairs Division of the Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources. More information about the Arlington Philharmonic is available at arlingtonphilharmonic.org.
