F.C.’s Medicine Shoppe Closing After 30 Years

After 30 years in business in Falls Church, The Medicine Shoppe, located at 107 Park Avenue, will be closing its doors.

Pharmacist and owner Joe Smith opened the franchise in the fall of 1981. The Falls Church City Council named it Business of the Year in 1985 and Best in Customer Service in 2004. They named Smith Business Person of the Year in 1995. The store will remain open for prescription orders, flu shots, and over the counter pharmaceutical items until November 15. Juanita Gomez has been with Smith for 29 of the 30 years along with Javad Mashatian the pharmacy technician.
