Mason Runners Take 9th and 10th at Octoberfest Meet

The George Mason High school boys and girls varsity cross country teams competed in the Octoberfest Invitational last weekend at Great Meadow.

The Mason teams competed against teams from schools of all sizes on the 5k course.

The girls team placed 9th, and the boys team placed 10th.

For the girls team, senior Michele De Mars came in 20th, junior Julia Estrada came in 21st, senior Eva Estrada came in 50th, sophomore Lauren Meinhart came in 77th, freshman Alicia Devereaux came in 81st, and junior Hannah Beaman came in 88th in a field of 164 finishers.

For the boys team, junior Jeremy K. Brown came in 41st, junior Jesse Schaffer came in 45th, sophomore Paul Sanders came in 77th, freshman Jackson Jost came in 78th, sophomore Austin Gogal came in 79th, junior Jeremy M. Brown came in 115th, and senior Paul Henninger came in 116th in a field of 232 finishers.
