F.C. Council OK’s Biodiesel Fuel Buy

The Falls Church City Council Monday approved $150,000 for the purchase of biodiesel fuel for use in the City’s fleet vehicles. The clean burning fuel includes biodegradable and nontoxic soy, canola and recycled restaurant oils. The City’s Department of Public Works has been routinely utilizing such fuel since 2006, and the Council vote Monday OK’d a purchase arrangement with a new supplier, James River Solutions.
