F.C. Police Investigate Armed Robbery

Falls Church Police are investigating an apparent armed robbery which occurred at an animal grooming business on Sunday, Sept. 11, about 10:30 a.m.

An employee of Dogspaw, 105. N. Virginia Ave., was inside the business grooming a dog when she felt a cold, metallic object on the back of her neck. She stated she heard a male voice state “where’s the money?” She replied there was no money. The suspect took a laptop computer and purse and fled. The victim did not see the man’s face. Falls Church Police responded immediately and were later assisted in their search by two trained K9s.

Falls Church Police ask anyone who might have been in the area of the 100 block of N. Virginia Ave. Sunday morning and might have seen something to contact the Police at 703-241-5050 (TTY 711).
