Best of Falls Church: Best Dentist – Dr. William V. Dougherty

Some might think it’s like pulling teeth to get folks to vote for their favorite dentist. But maybe because Falls Church’s own Dr. Vince Dougherty is so good at that, and his other dentist skills, that his patients have felt, two years in a row now, particularly motivated to crown (another pun!) him the Best Dentist in the News-Press’ annual Best of Falls Church.

Dr. Dougherty’s dad began his practice in 1968 at the same location where his son runs the practice today, a total of 43 years. The young Dr. Dougherty joined the practice in 1988 and took it over entirely in 1992. And yes, he still has some of the same patients his dad had back in ‘68!

Staying state-of-the-art in technology and renovations to his offices, Dr. Dougherty also enjoys the benefits of a staff that has been with him for years, some highly accomplished in their own right. Teresa Duncan has been at the office 18 years and is an international speaker on the full gamut of dental office issues. Jean Burlingame-Pulley is a long-time familiar face at the office, and Katie Rohr is the president of the Virginia Dental Hygiene Association.
