Sunset Cinema in the Park Returns with ‘Rio’ Aug. 26

The City of Falls Church Recreation and Parks Department will present the eighth annual Sunset Cinema in the Park on upcoming Fridays, Aug. 26, Sept. 2 and Sept. 9.

The screenings begin at 8 p.m. and are free to the public.

Moviegoers are invited to bring blankets, bug spray and picnics and watch three great movies under the stars. Popcorn, drinks and ice cream will be available for purchase.

The screenings will be held at Cherry Hill Park, located at 312 Park Ave., Falls Church. In the event of inclement weather, the movies will be canceled. For more information, call 703-248-5027.

Movies to be shown are: Aug. 26: “Rio” (2011, rated G), Sept. 2: “How to Tame Your Dragon” (2010, rated PG), and Sept. 9: “Secretariat” (2010, rated PG).
