F.C. Woman Dies Following Crash in Parking Garage

An 80-year-old Falls Church woman died following a crash that occurred around 9 p.m. Thursday, June 23 in the parking garage of the Goodwin House, 3440 South Jefferson Street.

Alice Pickering, a resident of Goodwin House, was driving her 2001 Honda Accord when she drove into a cement wall of the garage. She was pronounced dead on the scene of the crash.

An autopsy will be conducted at the Office of the Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.

Crash Reconstruction Unit detectives are investigating the incident.
