Former F.C. Student Gets Scholarship for Study Abroad

Jason Kazi, a high school student who formerly attended Thomas Jefferson Elementary School and Mary Ellen Henderson School in Falls Church, has been awarded one of 650 National Security Language Initiative for Youth Scholarships for 2011-12.

NSLI-Y provides merit-based scholarships for eligible high school students to learn less commonly-taught languages in summer, semester and academic year overseas immersion programs. The NSLI-Y scholarship enables Jason to study Hindi in India for the summer.
