F.C. Police Seize $47K from Drug Trafficker

After months of investigative work, the Falls Church Police have closed a criminal drug case which resulted in the guilty plea of Peter Crews and the apprehension of $47,000 in cash. The case began in November 2009 when Falls Church Police responded to a hostage barricade in the 300 block of Shirley St. Responding to the scene, police found in addition to the cash, over 19 pounds of marijuana, a 9mm semi automatic pistol, a 12-gauge shotgun, and a 9mm M-11 pistol.

Peter Crews, 51, of 303 Shirley St. Apt 35, plead guilty on April 22 in Arlington Circuit Court to Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute and was sentenced to 8 years in prison with 5 years and six months suspended.
