Students from the The Shire School visited Sunrise of Falls Church, an assisted living community, on May 25. The Shire School is a small, non-profit, special needs school in Falls Church. This intergenerational project was the culminating activity for a recently completed two-month social science unit, during which students learned about how the various aspects of farming contribute to the general community.
