McLean Drama Company to Celebrate 7th Anniversary

The McLean Drama Company is celebrating its seventh anniversary at the Alden Theatre, June 10 – 12. The anniversary retrospective features “Emily and I” a one-act play by the drama company’s founder, Rachael Bail, as well as two prize winners from the McLean Drama Company’s 10 minute play competition.

“Emily and I” is a murder mystery that involves global and local themes, including domestic violence. “At the Home,” by Paul Marx, the 2011 winner, is a story based on the agony of decisions facing the children of aging parents. It will be performed along with “Seeds,” by Shayne Gardner, which is the 2009 winner. Political satirist Ken Rynne will perform comic interludes and host the program.

The anniversary will be celebrated on June 10 and 11 at 8 p.m. and June 12 at 3 p.m. Ticket prices are $15, and $12 for seniors, students and MCC District residents. For more information, visit mcleandramacompany.org.
