F.C. Man Charged with Setting Fires

A Falls Church man has been charged with setting fires in the area throughout the spring.

According to Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department information officer Renee Stilwell, Michael Guenther is being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adults Detention Center after being charged May 4 for allegedly setting fires set between April 16 and May 1.

Two of the charges are for setting fire capable of spreading. Guenther is also charged with attempted burning of an occupied building, which Stilwell said is the more severe of the charges.
